Like the founder, when I first began meditating upon Saint Valentine, I felt a tremendous amount of loving energies pour from my heart chakra and radiate outward. While this may not be surprising, as he is known in modern society as the saint of love, what struck me even more deeply was the surge of passion that ignited within me—not just for romantic love, but for all that brings fulfillment, enthusiasm, and joy. A legend speaks of Saint Valentine of Terni, who adored roses and would gift them to young couples, blessing their unions. It is said that after witnessing a couple arguing, he offered them a red rose and words of reconciliation, inspiring a procession of people seeking his blessings for their families. Since he could not always tend to each request personally, he designated the 14th of every month for these blessings, a tradition that remains on February 14th, the day of his passing.
